Renaissance Man + Fader
It turns out that there are some folks that aren’t totally happy with Renaissance Man’s debut album and all of its experimental glory. I personally would have preferred that they elaborated on their heart pounding tech house style but I too welcome the different sound. Look at it this way, Turbo Records, one of techno’s biggest labels, decides to release a long-playing record for you, wouldn’t you want to let your creativity soar? If the sound you’ve already pioneered has found success on other labels, what are you going to bring to the table when the big shots come knocking on your door? An attempt at something fresh and new. Whether or not it is accepted is a different story.
But nonetheless, I still enjoyed their album. The Fader mix, however, is the style of music I wish The Renaissance Man Project was but it’s not like this is the last we’ll hear from the duo. Get a whiff of the booty poppin’ techy steelo below.
