Alixander III
The III in Azari & III hasĀ a solo project going on and it’s no joke. Alixander III is releasing an extended play later this week under label Get The Curse from Paris. Luckily my ears have a promo package to review and it is a stellar five tracks of deep house bliss. My personal favourite is Dichtschlamm, which sounds like an after-hours theme song for 2011 all the way to 2012. Expect this number to get playtime in DJ sets the world over.
Also, if you were enamored by the sounds of Indigo, Alixander’s Schlamm EP will fill you with deep house joy as it is more of that and less Manic (obviously, that steelo is reserved for Azari & III). I digress. Luckily Alixander III’s EP diversifies with remixes from Hold Youth & Le Loup and Sishi Rosch, who try to bridge the gap between deep house and Chicago-esque vocal work.
If you’re in the market for more Toronto-produced house music following Azari & III’s debut, Schlamm is a proper fix. Check it out below.
